Pity Party

Check out this article in Fox News. Whether you agree or not, you have to admit there is some truth in it. I've had those pity parties because something did not go exactly to plan; yes, sometimes life is really hard. But if you're ever feeling that way, then just remember that someone probably has it way worse. You don't have to look far, just read the daily news. Life is not always fair and we are not always given a choice. However, we are always given a choice to how we respond.

The Greater Good

There is tragedy all around us. We see so much in the news today that it is sometimes hard to find the good. However, it is comforting to see it arise from the bad. To come together, to help those in need and simply care and love. The tragic and senseless shooting in Louisiana has no meaning. However, we can cling to the good in the world and know while there is so much evil In this world, there is so much more good. And good always has the power to overcome evil.

Your Net Worth Is Priceless

We are obviously all different in a multitude of ways. However, we all know what it is like to hurt inside. So why would we inflict that pain onto others? What makes us better or worse than others? Are we not all equal? Let's inspire each other to be the best we each can be. Give a stranger a smile today or an encouraging word to someone in need. Do something nice and pass it on. Make the world a little better today and everyday.

Choices

Everyday we make choices. Some are small; like what you have for lunch will likely have no lasting effect to alter the universe. However, some choices can have drastic consequences while they didn't seem such a big deal at the moment. We are even faced with how to react to the choices people make around us. We can choose to act wisely or poorly. Sometimes we aren't always given a choice, but can choose how to react. A car cuts you off, you can choose to react with road rage or just let it go. That choice is yours and you have to live with the consequences, so make a decision that you can be proud of at the end of the day.

The story below reminds us while we may be tempted, it is not always wise to give in to those temptations.

Stop and Think

Too often we don't stop and think about the consequences of our actions. While we can learn from our mistakes in many avenues, you don't always get that second chance to learn. Some choices don't give you a do over. Countless and senseless tragedies occur from either being rash, hot headed, or simply not thinking about the possible outcome ahead of time. We can often learn from our mistakes, but sadly we don't always get that second chance. Remember, some choices won't give you a do over, so choose wisely and make good choices.

Support Our Military

It is easy to get caught up in the daily grind and forget about the human beings that are behind the scenes and on the front lines making our country a safer place. As a country, we may have disagreements and such about our military, but let us not forget about the people that make up our military.  Regardless of where we stand as individuals, let us stand united as a country. Check out the link below that touches on the senseless tragedy of what can happen to anyone, anywhere.

Respect

We are a wonderful, diverse country. We have different views, ideas and beliefs. However, we should always treat each other with respect. Regardless of what we believe, choose not to judge, seek to understand, be kind and love all.  Stop and think and choose to make good choices.

Ban Bullying

Check out the link below about a courageous young man speaking out against bullying. To those that chose to bully: think about things before you say them, your words can have the power to hurt or heal.  Choose wisely.
To those that are bullied:  Don't let other people choices affect who you are. Don't give them that power to hurt and be proud of the person you are. All of us need to join together and rise above the hate and make good choices.
