Having just visited a few National Parks, I can empathize with the desire to get that perfect wilderness picture. However, when you visit a park that is prone to large wildlife, they usually give you the talk about staying a certain amount of feet away, etc. Inside, I'm thinking yada, yada that is for other people. That is when I need to do my reality check and realize there are rules and regulations for a reason. Wildlife is wild and may not want to put their paw around you for a selfie. My advice to myself was to stop and think. Is it really worth getting injured? I'm on their turf and I have a zoom lens, not to mention the visitor centers sells awesome pics and postcards. Respect others, respect nature and respect yourself.
